DISTRICT CHIEF EXECUTIVE MONITORS ONGOING 2026 BECE

The District Chief Executive, Hon. Samuel Somuah, on Tuesday, 5th May 2026, conducted a monitoring visit to the Kwamang Presby Senior High/Tech School, one of the designated examination centers in the District for the 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
During his address, Hon. Somuah encouraged candidates to remain confident, refrain from any form of examination malpractice, and strictly adhere to the instructions of their supervisors. He further assured them of the government’s commitment to supporting their transition to the next phase of their academic journey into various second-cycle institutions.
As part of the visit, the Hon. DCE donated packs of soft drinks for distribution to candidates writing the examination.
He was accompanied by Mr. Kwame Addo, the District Director of Education, as well as some management members of the District Assembly and the District Education Directorate.
According to verified records, the center comprised 14 schools, with a total of 346 registered candidates. Of this number, 339 were present, while 9 were recorded absent. Additionally, one case of teenage pregnancy was recorded, with one teenage mother also sitting for the examination.
