DISTRICT CHIEF EXECUTIVE CONTINUES COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENTS IN KYEBI, ANANSU, DUAMO, AND DADEASE

On Friday, 8th May 2026, the District Chief Executive, Hon. Samuel Somuah, continued his series of community outreach engagements with visits to Kyebi, Anansu, Duamo, and Dadease.
The engagements featured interactive sessions between residents and the District Assembly’s management team. Both parties took turns presenting key issues affecting their communities. Hon. Somuah used the platform to highlight major interventions already undertaken by the Assembly to address some of these concerns, while providing assurances on efforts to resolve outstanding challenges.
Nananom in the visited communities expressed appreciation to the delegation, describing the engagement as an effective mechanism for fostering local participation in the governance of the district.
Key issues raised by community members include the following;
Kyebi
· Addressing telecom network connectivity challenges
· Completion of the stalled TVET school project
· Assembly support for community-initiated social centre and market projects
· Resolving water challenges at Kyebi-Danso
· Construction of befitting teachers’ quarters
. Construction of an ICT Centre.
· Rehabilitation of community inner roads
· Development of a local cadastral plan
· Enforcement of assembly by-laws
· Expansion of Kyebi CHPS Compound into a health centre
· Extension of electricity to Abutia
· Provision of refuse bins
· Filling of potholes and clearing of choked drains along major roads
Anansu
· Checking encroachment of building into passageways
· Provision of streetlights
· Distribution of electricity meters
· Addressing desk deficits in community schools
· Support for completion of the community self‑aid classroom project at Anansu Presby Basic School
· Construction of a washroom to improve school sanitation
· Construction of speed ramps along the main Nsuta‑Kwamang Road
Duamo
· Enforcement of sanitation by-laws
· Provision of streetlights
· Construction of speed ramps to curb speeding and prevent accidents
· Provision of refuse bins
· Construction of a public toilet facility
Dadease
· Expansion and rehabilitation of community roads
· Extension of electricity and pipe‑borne water
· Provision of a public toilet facility
In response, Hon. Somuah acknowledged all concerns raised and pledged the Assembly’s commitment to addressing them. He called for the support of community members in improving the Assembly’s revenue generation, noting that locally generated funds would complement government efforts in resolving the identified challenges.
